Honorable Rick Darwin, San Francisco Superior CourtJudge Darwin was appointed to the San Francisco Superior Court in 2017 by Governor Brown. He is currently assigned to Department 404 in the Unified Family Court. Prior to his appointment, Judge Darwin was a partner at Buchalter, where he served as the chairman of the firm's litigation practice group in San Francisco. As a lawyer Judge Darwin handled complex commercial and intellectual property disputes for clients in banking and technology, and managed high-risk litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. Judge Darwin earned his law degree from Hastings in 1992, and his B.A. from UCLA in 1989.
