high-functioning individuals and the evaluation of cognitive capacity. Dr. Canick will discuss the differences between normal aging and cognitive decline associated with dementia and other disorders. Dr. Canick will also discuss memory problems that normally occur with age, as well as the benefits of a mature mind.
• Ronald Mallen, a leader in the field of professional competence and legal malpractice will discuss whether and to what extent
age- related cognitive impairment represents an increasing risk among attorneys. He will discuss ethical duties when impairment in
attorneys of whatever nature manifests itself.
